This painting depicts the owl and the pussy cat from the Edward Lear rhyme. They are dressed in Edwardian period clothing standing before the sea and they're little pea green boat.
I have been an illustrator for book jaket artwork for many years but now speacialise in figurative quirky and surreal artwork. Much of my work has an aged feel appearing as if from another century. I love wildlife and fashion history and so this is often found in my concotions.
